This is a simple and fast way to learn Icelandic vocabulary, or brush up on what you might already know. First the flash card shows the word in English. Tap the card to flip it and see the word in Icelandic, as well as hear it spoken in Icelandic. Use the arrows to toggle through the cards in each category.

For this app to work you MUST install the Icelandic voice on your Kindle. To do so, go to the Settings app (this looks like a gear.) Choose “Keyboard and Language” then choose “Text to speech” and “download additional voices”. From here you can download the Icelandic voice at no cost.
