Anchor Alarm Lite

Anchor Alarm will support you during your anchoring. It will also help you find your crew-mates during sight-seeing on the shore.

Notice:
This application uses GPS tracking in background for constant measurement of boat’s position in order to raise an alarm when the boat leaves safe area.

Its main features are:

1. You do not need internet access to use this application.
2. Check the weather forecast for coming 20 h in place where you are about to anchor.
3. Easy to start anchoring. Just set anchor position. Then set the two-radius area using blue and red guides. Adjust radiuses by clicking on the map to increase or decrease them. Finally lock your settings (long click “Anchor” button) to avoid further accidental change.
4. Alarms can be raised in two independent ways - by sound and – in PRO version – by sending text message (SMS) to chosen contact.
5. (PRO version) CHECK YOUR BOAT POSITION REMOTELY! Now apart from being informed about alarm situation you can also remotely check, at any time, your boat position, its anchor safe circle and its track. All this is achieved with SMS communication which means you do not have to spend money on expensive roaming data transfer, and you do not need stable enough cellular coverage to have internet connection. ANY CELLULAR network coverage should do to send / receive SMS - safest and most reliable way in rural areas where you usually anchor. Simply press “Boat” button in application and host application on-boat will reply you with latest data. Check them any time to feel comfortable about your boat position, when being away from it (Watch the film to see the example how it works!).
6. (PRO version) Add as many contacts as you want to list of your crewmates. Then you can easily switch between contacts to locate them, using SMS communication. (Again, watch the film to see this in action! Great and unique feature!)
7. (PRO version) Using SMS communication keeps your location PRIVATE! No other 3rd party companies receive your location. No data is sent to any server. You can verify this by switching off mobile data transfer. Everything will just work as normal!
8. (PRO version) Download offline maps to be sure, that you will be able to use them without access to the internet (note zoom limitations – only 2 levels of zoom, but you can download multiple maps to deal with it).
9. Running in back-ground makes this application LOW BATTERY CONSUMPTION as for constant GPS monitoring type of application. It uses twice less energy than the competitor apps (see the screenshot).
10. Boat’s tracking restarts after spontaneous restart of your mobile (don’t worry, this application is stable). It keeps the track recorded before the crash too!
11. Choose between imperial and metric units. For the wind speed you can additionally use knots as the unit.

Application runs as a service and due to that it is very reliable even in the latest Android Systems. You can completely turn off your screen, even accidentally kill the app (not service), and yet the service would still be working - it would track boat’s move and issue alarm when your boat leaves anchor safe circle. Simply re-open application and watch the status and boat’s track.
You can use this application being completely offline. Simply set anchor safe circle and start anchoring. All features will be available:

• alarm (both sound and SMS. To send SMS you need to be connected to mobile network, although no data transfer is required. Note that SMS Alarm is PRO feature)
• remote control of boat’s: position, safe anchor circle and its track (PRO version).
