Chord Trainer offers four quiz modes for practicing visual recognition of piano chord forms. Intended for beginner to intermediate piano players, Chord Trainer emulates playing from a pop or jazz fakebook by prompting the user with the name of a chord and asking the user to quickly select the correct chord form. Quiz modes include:

1. Chord symbol to keyboard
2. Keyboard to chord symbol
3. Staves to keyboard
4. Staves to chord symbol

Chord Trainer tracks accuracy and reaction times of the user so that improvement can be visualized.

Chord Trainer currently offers 11 popular (closed-form) chord types in all keys. Users may select a particular key or particular set of chord types to train on.
