The classic Mandelbrot set. You can zoom in on a region by tapping the image. Vary the zoom factor with the slider (2-10). Use the switch to create Julia sets. Then tapping the image creates a Julia set for the tapped value.
Detail of the Mandelbrot set called Spiders. The color scheme is also different from the previous Mandelbrot set image.
A Julia set called the Dragon. It is created from a certain point in the Mandelbrot set.
A Mandelbrot like fractal created from a third degree complex polynomial divided by a first degree complex polynomial. Zoom in functionality as well as Julia set creation is as easy as for the Mandelbrot set.
A complex fractal created by dividing a fourth degree term by a second degree polynomial (with all terms). It vaguely resembles the Mandelbrot set.
A manual for the app is included in the app.
Use the GUI to enter your own function consisting of one complex polynomial divided by another. Exponents up to 9 can be used.
You can use a pre-defined color scheme. Alternatively you can design your own color scheme enjoying complete flexibility to set colors and iteration limits.
You can set the size of the image in the complex plane and, through setting number of pixels per unit, the size of the image. Other parameters for the calculation can also be set flexibly. Alternatively you can select a pre-defined fractal.

Description

Fractal Creator makes it possible to create fractals from single complex polynomials as well as ratios of two complex polynomials. Both bifurcation diagrams (for example the Mandelbrot set) and Julia sets can be created. By tapping the fractal the user can either zoom in or create a Julia set from a point in a bifurcation diagram. There is also a set of named fractals which is a selection of fractals deriving from the well known Mandelbrot set. Additional advanced features:

  • Set your color scheme with complete flexibility to set colors and iteration significance for them.
  • Choose seedpoint for your bifurcation diagram.
  • Set the center point and the outer distance determining when to stop iterating.
  • Flexibly set the limits of your display area and pixelsize.
  • Save your fractal images. You can also save the parameters used to create the fractal.
