Gov Auctions - My Personal Thoughts

Hey, Mike here and you’re reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about Gov Auctions org. Note, that this is a review though, so if you’re looking for Gov Auctions org’s official site then click here.

Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking about joining Gov Auctions org, there weren’t many real Gov Auctions org feedback reviews around, so I thought I’d write one quickly to help any of you who are in the same position I was. But, be warned, I’ll be going into both the good and bad points, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you might as well leave now.

Well, I’m glad you decided to stay! So, here we go… Gov Auctions org is a list of government car auctions around the country. The gov auctions have cheap cars that are fairly new and in pretty good condition. You can sign up for a standard 2 year membership or upgrade to a lifetime membership. So, you’ll always be able to find local car auctions near you if you move or want to get another car (like I did). The lifetime membership also comes with a couple of free ebooks, like 62 Proven Ways to Beat The Gas Monster and Car Care: Tips and Recommendations.

They also have a free car search that shows you how much cars from past auctions have sold for. So, you can get an idea of how much you can save on the make and model you’re looking for. There’s also no automatic rebilling, so you won’t have to wake up to some crazy charges on your credit card one day.

The only thing I don’t like about Gov Auctions org is how all of the auctions are grouped together by state only. So, it takes awhile to pick out the car auctions from the house, jewelry, boat, etc. acutions. But, that’s just my opinion because I’m on a car only budget. It is a recession you know…

Government car auctions are just like any other public car auction you can go to, except they’re ran by the federal government. Once you’ve decided to join Gov Auctions org, you’ll be given a list of government seized car auctions near you. Then, all you have to do is pick the one closest to you, call them up and find out when their next auto auction is.

Once you get to your local car auction, you’ll be given and hour or two to inspect the cars for auction, rev the engine, look under the hood, etc. You’ll also be given a chance to register during this time, so you’ll be able to bid on the auction cars for sale. All you need to register is a valid drivers license. Then, they’ll give you a bidder’s card that you can use during the auction to place your bid.

After inspection time is over, you’ll be asked to have a seat so the seized car auction can start. Then, they’ll drive each car to the front for everybody to bid on. The highest bidder wins. But, bidding wars sometimes happen. So, it’s always a good idea to have a budget in mind.

  • Once you’re the car you have your eye on comes up to the auction block, you bid and you’re the winning bidder, all that’s left to do is pay for your car and drive off the lot.
  • The government auto auction will send you your registration papers and title in the mail.
  • Or you can pick it up, depending on which auction you go to.
  • So, going to gov car auctions are not so scary, once you know what to expect. The hardest part is finding one near you! That’s where Gov Auctions org comes in…
