Select and drive your model locomotive fitted with a WifiTrax controller module. Use the large red throttle lever to control your speed. Get a real-time scale speedometer display, select forward or reverse, turn lights on and off and optionally turn on telemetry (not shown) to view performance in real-time.
Drive two locomotives at the same time. All controls are duplicated. Of course you may install more than one instance of the app on different tablets to drive more than two locomotives.
Name and list the switches and power blocks on your layout. Also use this screen to allocate track power blocks to Wi-Fi DC channels on our WUFP-40 module.
Change switches as you drive your locomotives.
Scan your network to detect your locomotives, they are recorded in your local database. Current availability is shown. Scan again to detect new locos. Select from the list and view details (Installed WifiTrax controller product, MAC Address, IP Address and Loco's Wi-Fi access point SSID). Delete locos from you database if they are no longer present. This screen also scans for layout controllers such as switch machines and power.
Build Multi-unit Consists. Create a new consist, add available locomotives. Select a loco in the consist, set its position and direction, set it to coupled (coupled locos cannot be driven separately). Tune the speed of each locomotive at five ranges to match the others in the consist. Remove locos from consists any time or delete the entire consist. Consists can be selected on the Drive page just like single locomotives - you can even drive two consists at the same time.
Tune your locomotive's on-board WifiTrax controller for best performance. Adjust the closed-loop control parameters, give your locomotive a meaningful name, reverse the motor and/or lights in case you wired them backwards. Page 2 (not shown) allows you to configure your locomotive to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Page 3 (not shown) allows you to adjust your speedometer calibration.

This Loco Operator App from WifiTrax Model Science lets you drive and manage your model railroad locomotives and operate switches and track power over your home Wi-Fi network. You must fit one or more of your model locomotives with WifiTrax controllers or add WifiTrax Controller modules to your layout.

Once you’ve equipped your locomotives or layout with our modules, you can install this App on any Windows 10 computer such as a desk top, Surface or other Windows 10 tablet and then drive one or two locos from your tablet. Control the speed precisely and see your trains speedometer in real-time.
Assemble multi-unit consists and drive them like a single loco.
Operate track switches and power.
Have as many tablets or smart-phones as you like so all your operators can enjoy full walk around control.
Please Note: This is NOT a self-contained game, it is for model railroad hobbyists. You need to purchase electronic modules and install them in real Model Locomotives and on your layout.
