MXTNote is a free PDF reader and note taking app, it helps you organize your PDF and notes so that you can easily cross reference them later. Its intended to be used by students and researchers who need to read through a library of books and research papers for a long period of time and eventually write some notes about the research topics.

You can add papers from your local device, or from Arxiv (online preprint archive). When reading the papers, select the formula or text you want to reference later, these bookmark will be automatically available in the “Notes” tab and you can review them from time to time. These bookmark can also be copied to your notebook as a base for a long write-up. Handwriting and Latex are supported in notes. If you enable cloud sync (require MXTNote account, free sign up) you can access your documents and notes in all your devices.

MXTNote support split screen mode, you can read PDF and open one of your notebook side by side, This mode is very convenient to read PDF and take note at the same time. You can also drag a bookmark from PDF to the notebook. This will create a two-way link between the PDF and the notebook.

MXTNote can be used to monitor Arxiv for new articles, simply enter a query and check the “Arxiv” tab to see if there is any new articles match your query.

MXTNote is available in Android, IOS and web version, if you sign in to MXTNote (free sign up with MXTNote, or sign in with google, apple account) you can access your document and notes in all your devices.
