PuTTY is open source software, with source code available, developed and supported by a group of volunteers. It supports multiple variants of secure remote terminals and provides users with control over SSH encryption keys and protocol versions, alternative ciphers such as AES, 3DES, RC4, Blowfish, DES, and public key authentication.
