Recording macros (Professional version function)

• To automate repetitive tasks, various operations on RootPro CAD can now be recorded as macros and replayed. Recorded macros are displayed in the Script window as C# script code.

Gradient hatching

• Gradient hatching can now be created, with a choice of eight different gradient patterns and the ability to specify the position, angle, and transparency of the two colors.

Drawing and Editing

• The mouse cursor is now adsorbed to the snapped coordinates when entering command coordinates.
• When right-clicking on an unselected shape during a command, the command is terminated and the right-click menu of the clicked shape is displayed.
• Coordinates in commands and point array parameters are now snapped to the coordinates entered.
• Added a command to linearize curves.
• The snapshot command can now specify the pixel size of the longer side.
• The Move/Rotate command allows you to select a drawing layout and then move or rotate the layout.
• A menu item has been added to allow creation of new drawings without templates.

Settings

• The selected area is now displayed with the specified transparency color when selecting shapes.
• Added the ability to specify the size of the crosshair cursor.
• The thumbnail size of the drawing component window can now be set from three levels.
• The Layer Tree window can now display the recently used layers.
• The color selection combo box now displays the recently used colors.

Printing

• Added a setting for whether to print as an image and a resolution to the print settings.
• Added Load and Save buttons to the Print Setup dialog box.

Drawing and Editing

• An arc length parameter has been added to the arc command.
• Added length parameters to the perpendicular and tangent commands and changed the order of the parameters.
• The current layout can be changed by double-clicking the drawing layout frame on the paper.
• In the measurement result dialog box of the Coordinate Measurement command, “coefficient” can now be specified in the same way as for length and area measurements.
• The “Shape” parameter of the area measurement command can now be used to specify a hatch or periodic B-spline curve for measurement.
• The image arrangement command can now read gif-format image files.
• When the attributes of a drawing component definition are changed, a confirmation message is displayed and the attributes of the placed drawing components can also be reflected.
• The hatch type toolbar button now allows selection of the fill color.
• The initial state of the window layout has been changed.

File conversion

• When loading DXF/DWG files, data is now registered in the order in which the shapes are drawn.
• When importing DXF/DWG files, region shapes are now broken down into general shapes and imported.
• When exporting to a PDF file, the “Paper Defaults” setting in the PDF Export Settings is applied when exporting paper with a specified area of print settings applied.
