“Sequencing Tasks: Life Skills - Bundle #1” focuses on the cognitive skill of arranging photos of a task in chronological sequence. The app starts off with a video demonstrating a life skills task. After the video is shown, a review of the task is provided using 3 still photos taken from the video depicting each step in the task. After the review, the student is presented with the task of arranging the photos in chronological order by dragging and dropping them into a sequence. Statistics are gathered and saved for each session.

Many individuals with autism or other special needs have difficulty breaking down a task into the individual sequence of steps that make up the task. For example when getting ready in the morning, they may comb their hair before they take a shower. The Sequencing Tasks apps by Judy Lynn Software attempt to break down a task by first showing a video of the task and then reviewing the steps in chronological order that make up the task.

The app is composed of 5 tasks with each task having 3 steps.

The tasks included in this app are:

1. Brushing your teeth

2. Scooping ice cream

3. Eating a banana

4. Buying soda from a vending machine

5. Stapling papers together

The app is modeled after our very popular Windows special needs program called “In Sequence - Daily Living Skills”.
