Give your little one the life long gift of reading! Sight words are high frequency words (up to 75%) that appear in children’s books and vocabulary. Young readers will greatly benefit by learning to recognize these words at sight (and hence the term sight words).
This app helps your child achieve this with the flash card methodology, coupled with touch and sound. The app has a collection of more 300 words, categorized into different difficulty levels (labelled as Pre kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade and Noun in the app menu).

You can move back and forth among the words in a set simply by swiping or use the shuffle button to look at the words in random order. The shuffle button coupled with turning the ‘read aloud’ off, will be a great tool for “quiz” mode. (you can still hear the words by tapping on the word). This helps kids practice words once they have learnt it.

The app also allows you to flag certain words and filter only to flagged words. Different kids have difficulty with different set of words and this is a great tool to flag these last few difficult words and practice them separately. You can also flag a small set of words (5-10) to practice for each day until they master all the words in a set.
