Multiplication Learn and Test is designed to help kids to learn multiplication times tables. It is simple and easy to use. The app is built in cooperation with Finnish school teachers to guarantee fast and long lasting memorization of times tables.

Multiplication Learn and Test differs from other similar apps in three ways. First it offers a simple test mode, which is calibrated to ensure that tables are properly memorized. Secondly, the design is intentionally simple and plain, which promotes learning without distractions or time delays. Lastly, it also offers visual table chart, which gives visual aids in learning mode. It also helps kids to choose the tables requiring more practice and fascinates and entice them to complete the tables. The visual table chart also incorporates right-brain modalities of learning. This is a highly effective and engaging way for kids to learn.

Multiplication Learn and Test uses gamification elements to encourage kids to learn the tables. It keeps score on all the modes and 10 highest scores achieved are available on high scores screen. Points are given based on both correctness and previous and current answer times. The high score and test mode will offer easy ways to monitor one’s progress. Try to tap the opening screen chart area to see the tables that need more practice.

To prevent accidental button presses and passing the tests by hitting buttons randomly Multiplication Learn and Test enforces 0.4 second answer time. It also monitors share of correct answers to prevent passing the test without truly learning the tables.

Multiplication App offers four modes to enhance one’s multiplication skills:

• Learn mode will ask all the tables from the chosen area. This mode will help learning by giving smaller correct answers on the same row and column than the one asked (e.g. table 2 times 3 will show row answer of 1 times 3 = 3 and column’s answers of 1 times 2 = 2 and 2 times 2 = 4). This mode asks the table again if answer is incorrect or answer time is more than 10 seconds.

• Practice mode will ask only part of the tables from the chosen area, the quicker the answer is given the less tables are asked. It also asks more often the tables that need more practice. This mode asks the table again if answer is incorrect or answer time is more than average time in previous attempts.

• Test mode will ask all the tables from the chosen area. The mode is designed to prevent completion without proper memorization. This mode asks the table again if answer is incorrect or answer time is more than 3 seconds.

• Game mode will ask only part of the tables from the chosen area, the quicker the answer is given the less tables are asked. The answer time requirement is 2 seconds.
