SlimCD for Windows 8 enables Windows 8 device based credit/debit card authorizations for keyed or swiped (card present) retail environments. Both keyed and swiped authorizations are conducted over a secure 3G or WIFI connection.

For swiped transactions, any keyboard-emulation based MagStripe Reader is used; connected using a USB port. We also support end-to-end encryption via the ID Tech encrypted reader model IDRE-334133B. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE ENCRYPTED READER MUST BE INJECTED WITH THE SECURE POSX ENCRYPTION KEY.

For keyed transactions, the cardholder number, expiration date, CVV2 code and amount is entered, with support for name, contact information, and more. Keyed transactions are generally conducted when the card is non-present.

Both keyed and swiped transactions use the SlimCD payment gateway for authorization. All transactions are conducted using either a 3G or WIFI connection using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) communications.
