ELC Sound Recorder embraces Googles Material Design guidelines to provide a very appealing user experience. This audio recorder records audio in WAVE and AAC/m4a (HE-AAC for 4.1+) formats.

Hold to record: Perhaps one of the best features is the ability to hold the recording button to record for as long as you are holding the button. This button hold feature must be enabled from the menu which can be accessed by tapping the 3 dots button on the top right and tapping hold to record. Tap to record will still be enabled.

Colour Palette: You have a wide variety of colours at your disposal to choose from! Pick the colour scheme you like the best to make it more appealing for you to use :) The color + white scheme adds a professional look to the audio recorder.

Delightful animations: Meaningful animations is a major part of Material Design. ELCA sound recorder comes with some nice animations here and there which will hopefully make your experience much more pleasant :)

User Interface: Adopting Material Design, ELC sound recorder has a super simple user interface which also contributes to a pleasant user experience :)

Folders: You can pick where you want your recordings to be saved :) The recordings will be hidden from Music players so as to not clutter your playlists.

Home screen Widget: Place the recorders homes creen widget and record right away without having to press the record button :) The widget is small enough not to be a disturbance and big enough not to be looked over.

Feedback: The app has a built in feedback submission system which is why it needs the INTERNET PERMISSION. If you like it or if you plan to uninstall or have some suggestions, please leave feedback by going to the menu and choosing feedback :)

Other features: It has all the features you’d expect to see in a normal sound recorder application. It records audio for you (even in background) and lets you pause and resume too. The quality of the recordings are dependent on your mobile phones microphones. The same is applicable for volume.

You can set a custom sampling rate and also choose between WAVE and M4A/AAC formats.

The seekbar is hidden by default and will show up when you play the recording files. Just move the slider to seek through the recording.

Pressing the widget takes you straight to the app and also starts recording right away without having to press the record button.

How easy is it to use this?

1. Open the app
2. Simply tap the Floating Action Button to start recording audio.
3. Tap the pause button to pause or stop button to stop recording audio.
4. Done!

A persistent notification is shown in the notification bar to let you know its (still) recording audio for you.

Your recordings are displayed as a list showing the date of recording, recording name and the length of recording for you. Simply tap the recordings to play them :)
