A Sampler is a electronic musical instrument that generates sounds with the aid of sound recordings, which are resampled at different rates to produce different tone frequencies. It sounds very natural in a rage of +/- one octave of the original recording.
The aim of the Sound Sampler is not only to play recorded samples, but also to produce new samples by modifying the originals with effects (reverb, choir, filter, phaser, detune …) and reshaping of the envelope. This new waves can be stored (exported) and reused as second or even third generation of sound.
