PSAT/SAT Vocab Lite is a feature-rich app that can give you a leg up going into exam day. This free version includes 200 commonly used test words–to unlock 1,800 more words, upgrade to the Pro version of this application.

Each word is presented in a flash-card format—first just the word is shown, then after a certain amount of time (adjustable) the definition appears, along with synonyms and antonyms on separate tabs.

The filtering features are a great aspect of the SAT/PSAT Vocab app. For each word you study, you can mark one of four levels rating how well you know that word. You can also star specific words that you want to remember. Later you can filter on these ratings and flags to study just the words that you are still working on.

After you’ve been studying for awhile you can test your knowledge by taking an adaptive quiz, using a fixed timer or a fixed question count. The app rates your progress and gives you a percentage score indicating your mastery level.
