TFS Live is a role based application, designed for testers, developers & project managers to view the current status of the TFS work items (like Test Case, Bugs & Tasks). It comes with exciting features like integration with TFS Web Access, Live tiles updates, Toast Alerts, Snap and Share (Email) functionalities of Windows 8.

For you to use the app, you must have read or contribute access to the TFS Server that you would like to connect. Application expects you to have valid login credentials as a pre-requisite. You can contact your TFS Administrator to provide you the required access and then login using the same credentials while configuring the app for the first time. The same credentials will be used to login to TFS Web Access that is integrated with our app (for login from browser)

It provides both the individual and team’s view of the backlog, which is customizable by the role that is selected by the user. App also has alert & live tiles to notify the user, when bugs are assigned/created. The win 8 features like share charm (email) is enabled for quick reporting and snap functionality to work in parallel with other apps.

This role-based application will help the individuals in quicker turnaround time to respond to assigned work items and leads/managers in knowing the team’s backlog/progress at any given point of time. It has a seamless integration with TFS Web Access to drill deeper into work items.
