This app is intended for kids age 2-5.

It was inspired by granddaughter Sophie’s creations and it is grandson Ben’s (age 4) favorite app. He types madly with two thumbs as if he is texting like his big sisters. He has recently discovered emojis and he enjoys typing his name. He never gets lost because the app is dead simple and contains no ads or links that leave the app. Recently he branched out to typing and recording sounds in the note pad which he calls “this typer”. Ben often asks, “Can I type on your phone?” I love sitting with my arm around him admiring his typing. Ben’s typing reminds me of typing on my dad’s manual typewriter when I was a kid.

I’d like to thank the Android team at developer.android.com for the Training section that got my app started, my granddaughter Hannah for always making me think, and my wife Jane for supporting me and keeping things in perspective.
