FreeCAD:3D Modeler

FreeCAD is basic 3D CAD with advanced motion simulation capabilities. It is ideal for teaching and learning geometry, kinematics, dynamics, vibration, mechanisms, linkages, cams, machine design and physics.

FreeCAD allows users to create and manipulate assemblies, which are collections of parts. These parts are simple 3D solids that can be connected by joints, constraints, contacts, motors, actuators, springs, dampers, forces, torques, or gravity. Allows turning 3D loops on and off. FreeCAD performs a full multibody dynamic analysis of the assembly to predict motion according to Newton’s laws. Use animation of simulated data to produce realistic dynamic behavior of the system.
