About Learn Languages Lite With Bilingual Audiobooks On The Go

You can use this application to generate bilingual audiobooks and to translate books for a large list of languages. This application is using Microsoft’s Azure translation service to translate your text from one language to another. Therefore, you have to get the Azure translation service key from Microsoft.

The application is published in two versions. The lite-version, which is free, it is processing only short clipboard texts. You can use it to verify your Azure translator service key, the quality of translations and to test this way of language learning. The pro-version is not free, your Azure translator service key from the lite-version can be used also for pro-version because it isn’t application dependent. You can use the pro-version for processing the whole books.

Let’s suppose for example, that you want to learn mandarin Chinese without the pain of learning Chinese script. You also want to enjoy the process of learning and have a fun. It can be done in this way:

Take the text file of some story or article from Internet, or a short novel in your native language that you would like to read. Copy the text into the clipboard and let it translate to mandarin Chinese and create audiobook. This application will split the original text into phrases, translate every phrase into mandarin Chinese and it will generate audiobook files, where every phrase of the original text will be followed by its translation. You will listen to the audiobook with concentration and thus learning the language. It is needless to mention that you can listen to the audiobooks on the go.

You have to develop some level of listening skills, because the order of words may be different in different languages. Do not break listening when you encounter difficult phrases. Pick low hanging fruits first. Maybe they won’t be so difficult during the second or third listening. It is useful to have a phrase in your native language first, followed by its translation into target language. You can of course change the order of translation from target language to your native language and select any pair of numerous languages that are supported by the Azure translation service.
