Playing with Physics: Magnetic Field

“Playing with Physics” apps allow interactive simulation of select physics phenomena.

The “Magnetic Field” app enables the study of the movement of charged particles in a homogeneous magnetic field. The user selects the charge of the particle, its mass and speed. There is also the movement of predefined particles that are created during radioactive decay. The animation will plot the trajectory of the particle depending on the input parameters. Plotting is supplemented with position data on the graph axes. The running of the application is supplemented by a list of characteristic values (position, velocity, angular velocity). The Demo section contains some practical applications related to the topic.
