About MIDI SysEx Chat
MIDI SysEx Chat is a simple System Exclusive (SysEx) editor and librarian with the ability to control SysEx dumps via MIDI. You can write and save to a file the SysEx messages that will command a device to dump its data such as global settings, programs and presets. You can then transmit this command file to the device any time you want to backup its data. For many devices, this also allows you to dump data from the device that cannot be retrieved any other way.
If you do not know the SysEx commands for your device, or it does not support such commands, you can also retrieve SysEx data by initiating the desired SysEx dumps manually at the device.
