The goal of PocketDiner is to allow you to calculate to the cent what each person owes, taking into account shared food, divided tax and tip according to what was ordered, or whose birthday it is–all while minimizing data entry.

It’s much more than a tip calculator–it’s a workplace lunchtime tool kit! It shows computed costs for each diner, without dragging sliders to adjust. You can add diners from your address book, key them in yourself, or use a default diner list to prepopulate the app every time if you have a usual circle of dining companions. Adjust tip and tax rates (or if there’s tax at all) to fit circumstances, and shared items can be split across everyone at the table. There’s even a birthday mode to specifically exclude a guest of honor from the calculations.
