Simple Tax Loader

Simple Tax Loader is an application to aid the preparation of Income Tax Returns. The user is able to load transactions from a Quicken or .QIF file and easily sort the expenses and earnings into columns of different categories.
Each column or category can be modified for different percentages and can be changed from an expense to an earning column.
The user has the ability to load up a sample Excel spread sheet and it will automatically create columns that match this sheet.
GST of any rate will be automatically calculated on the transactions.
Calculation summaries of all columns for tax return periods are displayed under each column.
Each time a biller or payee reoccurs the application learns from previous occasions and will suggest repeated actions.
When the data is complete it is possible to export 2 separate files.
The first file is a CSV file with hard coded calculation amounts which can be easily opened in Excel.
The second file is a deliminated text file with the ‘~’ separator betweeen each column. This file contains Excel Formulas for the GST calculations and for the period ending sumarries.
This file can easily be loaded in excel as a delimited file with ‘~’ as the only separator. The reason for this is that the formulas contain commas so they would be broken in the normal loading of a CSV file.
