Why does Symbol Salad need to access all my files, peripheral devices, apps, programs and registry?
Symbol Salad copies things to the Windows clipboard.
Sadly this isn’t available in the latest development framework which allows the fine-grained permissions to avoid the warnings. Therefore Symbol Salad was developed using an older framework that does allow access to the clipboard but also allows much greater access to many other resources - hence the warnings.
Symbol Salad only accesses its own settings files and the Windows clipboard which it only copies to and doesn’t read from.
