Playing with Physics: Wave Interference

“Playing with Physics” apps allow interactive simulation of select physics phenomena.

The “Wave Interference” app allows you to plot the time course of the resulting wave caused by the interference of two separate waves. The parameters of individual waves, the direction and distance of the sources of both interfering waves can be entered. The resulting ripple is drawn only in the area where the ripples overlap. The ripple can be accelerated, slowed down or stopped at any time during the simulation. During the simulation, the current wave parameters are displayed. The user can view immediate deviations in a clear table.
